About this deal

I love this burger press (or meat press) for its quality construction. The press is made in Victoria’s own factories in Colombia–they never outsource it–and the look & feel of their press validate it. Why don’t I use a burger patty maker? Because I press my burgers (or, more precisely, meatballs) after moving them onto the skillet/griddle. Third, it measures 8 inches and weighs 3.5 pounds, just the right size and weight for all your pressing and smashing tasks. Smash burgers are made by placing a ball of ground beef on a hot griddle or skillet and then using the press to flatten it into a thin patty. This creates a crispy crust outside with a juicy center. While you can use a simple scapula to do the job, a super thin patty isn’t always guaranteed. Both tools have quality construction, weigh about 2.5 pounds, and come pre-seasoned with flaxseed oil.

When you press a smash burger, you create a larger surface area for the Maillard reaction to occur. The Maillard reaction is a chemical reaction between amino acids and reducing sugars when heated. This reaction is responsible for the browning and flavor development in many foods, including burgers, steaks, and bread. In addition to creating a more flavorful crust, pressing a burger patty can also help to keep the burger juicy. When you press the patty down, you force some of the juices out of the center of the patty and towards the edges. This helps to prevent the burger from drying out as it cooks. A smash burger is made by smashing a ball of ground beef onto a hot grill or griddle with a spatula or a press. This creates a thin, crispy patty with a well-browned crust and a juicy, flavorful interior. This press features the most ergonomic handle design. The price is also affordable. It does its job effortlessly and is easy to use and clean. Made of stainless steel. No complaints, highly recommended. Bellemain Bacon Press, 8.5” – Best Value for Money What we call a smash burger press by any other name would do the same thing: create smash burgers, aka smashed burgers. On the downside, I don’t see a reason for the grooves on the top. The only thing they serve is to make cleanup a mess. Pros: Overall, the Cuisinart Smashed Burger Press has everything in its arsenal to make it an excellent burger press. It’s well-made and performs very well. Can’t recommend enough. Pros:

HULISEN Stainless Steel Burger Press, Heavy Duty Burger

That’s where the smash burger press comes in. A smash burger press is a simple tool that helps you create the perfect smash burger every time. It has a heavy-duty surface to flatten a burger patty down to size. The only downside is that the wooden handle can roll, which is an issue common with all burger presses with a two-screw handle attachment. One final advantage: a cast iron hamburger press like this one will last you for a lifetime. Cast iron will rust over time if you’re not careful, of course, but you can simply scrub off any rust spots and resume using your press. There’s pretty much no reason to ever replace a tool like this.

Useful tools

It comes from a reputed brand, and I must say it stays true to its name. It’s colossal… can smash four burgers in one go. The build quality is great. It also doesn’t cost much. Wener Bacon Press 6.88 On the downside, it’s made of cast iron, which makes it prone to rust. If you can’t get off your a** to give it a hand wash and season it, it’s not for you. There are definitely some downsides to the trowel method — you need to apply pressure yourself, it’s a bit weird to keep a trowel in your kitchen, and you don’t get to use your kitchen trowel for very many other tasks. On the other hand, it’s about as authentic as you can get when it comes to creating a restaurant-quality smashed burger. If you want the smashburger tool that the pros use, a trowel like this one is your best bet. Making The Best Smash Burger At Home Secondly, this tool is heavy. When you use a big spatula or a frying pan or something you have to actually press down yourself. This grill press has more than enough weight to do almost all of the work on its own.

Best Smash Burger Presses of All Time - Flame Surfers

I loved the Cuisinart Smashed Burger Press for its quality, price, and ease of use. I sang its praises from the tops of the mountains but still refused to call it the number one smash burger press. It had just an adequate size (of 6.5 inches) and weight, had a wooden handle placed at a comfortable height, and was sturdy and durable. However, the only thing it was missing was a flat bottom. The shape of a burger press also matters. Round presses tend to outperform rectangular ones because they align better with the traditional round shape of hamburgers. However, larger, rectangular presses can accommodate more burgers simultaneously. Cleaned well with hot soapy water and a scrubby sponge, and spent days re-seasoning my CI. It continues to get seasoning as I fry hamburger for the dog in it. Don’t press down on the burger patty again after you flip it. This will release the juices and make the burger dry.

On the downside, it comes unseasoned and will rust immediately if you don’t oil and heat it. You can trust the pre-included instruction manual to season it properly. You might need a bit of pressure and a scraper to flip over your burgers. I’d recommend the professional flipper above. if you want, you can even use a whetstone or a file to put a bit of an edge on it to make the process easier. Either way, once you’ve flipped over your burgers, they’re done. You don’t need to wait for the second side to cook. You pretty much finish the job the instant the top side of your burger hits the hot pan. Simply add cheese and place your patties on top of your buns. You’re all good to go.
