About this deal

The spring-steel needle is resistant to breakage, and the needle packings are solvent resistant for longevity. mm-diameter rod and a combination nozzle ideal for finishing details, but with a considerable paint flow capacity. Your 10 year extended warranty is only valid with the Airbrush Company Ltd if you have purchased from an authorised UK reseller and you present your proof of purchase. However my personal view (with any paint) is that better and more controllable results are generally obtained by thinning properly and spraying at lower pressure.

For reference, I am planning to use the airbrush to basecoat miniatures; I don't know if I should aim for the highest or lowest pressure listed in the range for that type of application. Neo for Iwata Airbrushes are warranted for a period of 5 years, and all other Iwata Airbrushes are extended by the Airbrush Company Ltd to 10 years in the UK. The box on by airbrush says 25-35 psi, so I'm trying to determine if the Iwata Ninja Jet will be sufficient.

Iwata Eclipse Series airbrushes feature an exclusive compression fit nozzle that is easy to clean and assemble. If you want to look down the length of the airbrush as you spray, the HP-BS paint cup does not obscure your vision as much. I wanted to say that this paint cup’s inner coating coming off, sadly is not just a cosmetic effect. The inner part of the hip bone and upper thigh have also been directly highlighted without overspray onto the silver areas which were painted prior to this highlighting. One thing I had misunderstood reading the revues, even the video ones when I was choosing between this and the Steenbecks, is the nozzle.

That product lists a Max Pressure of 40 psi, which would seem to be sufficient, but a 'working pressure' of 1-15 PSI, which would seem to be totally inadequate if 25 PSI is the lowest required amount. Please note, that this warranty does not cover needles, nozzles, packing and o-rings since these parts need to be replaced occasionally due to normal wear. It’s got a fragile looking needle, but don’t be fooled, it’s very springy and tougher than most airbrushes in the market. The spay detail on this paper is so fine I genuinely thought they may just be print-outs and before I had the replacement brush to compare.

Form Airbrushing Space Marine Eyes to base-coating tanks, this brush has you covered out of the box. Personally I have switched to a Badger Krome and sold my HP-CS to a fine member of these very forums! There's a little piece of paper in the box upon which the quality control tester has used your airbrush to check all is well. See how you get on with the paints, you might struggle with tip dry in your environment, ( IIRC I've seen people in such conditions not use acrylics at all. Now, I can feel the needle passing the o-ring while the needle is moving freely still, and I think I don't have to worry about paint leaking backwards through the o-ring.

It doesn't come with a fine spanner to remove the tiny nozzle, as it is designed to be cleaned without doing that fiddly and risky job. You can see above (directly to the right of the Iwata QA sheet example) I was able to spray some comparable lines. The Iwata Eclipse is a super popular airbrush with both modelers and artists, and the HP-CS is probably the most popular version. Shown above (not in the best way as I didn’t think to take shots showcasing this when I did it) you can see highlights on the individual abdominal muscles in this Warhammer 40,000 Hellbrute’s 10-pack. The airbrush itself is relatively simple with the only additional components in the box being a wrench to loosen the nose and a bottle of Iwata lube to maintain protect the mechanism.I think it is caused by thinners/paint bypassing the needle seal and getting where its not supposed to be.
