About this deal

The majority of shops still close for siesta every day between 2pm and 5pm. Most shops will close all day on Sundays. Author bio Long known for being the world’s club-scene queen, Ibiza has quietly grown into a dreamy destination for culture-loaded city breaks, romantic country escapes, fun-filled family holidays, outdoor-adventure activities, zen-fueled retreats, and much more. However, the best family hotels in Ibiza are in northern resorts like Portinatx and Port de San Miguel. Obviously there are the beaches – Costa Adeje’s Playa del Duque is one of the best, perfect for making the most of the incredible Tenerife weather. And if you want more than just sun, sea and sand? Whether you’re looking for late-night dance floors or something to tire the kids out, Tenerife comes up trumps with an array of things to do all vacay long.

However, San Antonio Bay holidays are much quieter than other parts of the island; although access to the club scene is easy enough, if you want it. The resort tends to attract families and couples, looking to spend some quality downtime together away from the crowds and parties. Head down to the crescent-shaped beach and, towards the harbour, you’ll find an array of water sports on offer, from water-skiing, to splashing about on a banana boat!

Santa Eulalia: Those looking to experience Ibiza’s traditional side will love Santa Eulalia. As Ibiza’s third largest town, families tend to favour this tame resort for its great choice of accommodation. While its beach is perfect for days spent sand-castle building. Come evenings most holidaymakers tend to make a beeline for its palm-lined promenade thanks to its choice of restaurants dishing up authentic island eats. Ibiza is adored for its beautiful beaches, from long wide stretches to small tranquil bays, you won’t struggle to find somewhere to top up your tan. If you’re wondering where to head first, here’s some of the island’s most popular beaches: The only exception to the rule is newcomer Club Chinois. The club has a “classy casual” dress code, which means men need to wear trousers, i.e not shorts!

Meanwhile if you have booked a VIP table, it’s likely the club will be stricter on what you wear. Pacha and Hï are more likely to ask you to dress smarter for their VIP areas. We recommend not wearing sandals / flipflops at night… at busy clubs you’ll get trodden on. Girls, leave your heels at home. Flats are your friend. Santa Eulalia has developed a reputation as being the gastronomic capital of Ibiza with its many different restaurants, whatever you fancy you’re bound to find it in Santa Eulalia. There are the cafés on the promenade and the fresh seafood restaurants by the marina, but Calle San Vicente is where all food lovers need to head. Without doubt, the main reason people come to Ibiza Town is for the nightlife. With iconic clubs and lively bars, the only phrase that seems appropriate is ‘world-class’. The general rule of thumb is to simply wear whatever you feel comfortable in, so dress however you like! The clubs are well air-conditioned. You will see everything from jeans and trousers to shorts and t shirts. You may not realise it, but San Antonio Bay is actually made up of a number of different beaches and coves, each of them offering something unique and wonderful to all who visit their shores. Es Puet is perfect for paddling and fishing, S’Estanyol is great for water sports and barbecues and Port des Torrent is the place to be for snorkelling – to name but a few. Which will be your favourite? At clubs there’s an ‘anything goes’ dress policy, but this doesn’t extend to all public spaces. If you’re in a bikini or swimming shorts in a shop/restaurant/bus you’ll almost definitely be asked to cover up. Shorts aren’t allowed in any of the club’s VIP lounges. The languorous, salt-washed pearl of an island strewn off Ibiza’s southern shores feels like the most blissful, barefoot, all-natural paradise in the Mediterranean. Caribbean-blue waves roll onto sparkling-white beaches, lighthouses loom on gold-tinged cliffs, and development has always been strictly controlled. The best way to savor Formentera’s go-slow beauty is to stay a few days and explore by bike or on foot, dropping in at sun-kissed Platja de Migjorn, delicious little Cala Saona, lively "capital" Sant Francesc Xavier, the shimmering (disused) salt pans, the wild Trucador Peninsula (within the Parc Natural de Ses Salines), and more. Ferries zip across from Ibiza Town to Formentera in around 30 minutes. Hit the hiking trails Further north, the seaside town of Santa Eulalia promises a more relaxed affair, with stylish hotels such as eco-chic Aguas de Ibiza set on the coast. Or head inland to discover rural retreats — referred to as agroturismos — set within stone farmhouses and offering farm-to-table dining, views across olive-strewn landscapes, spas and alfresco yoga classes.
