This one looks smaller and noticeably lighter. But everything else is a copy of the mini 1. From the quality of materials to the rubberized texture that feels nice to touch to the overall appearance. You could argue they only shrank the covering of the mini 1. For starters, compared to mini 1, mini 2 looks like a true mini. Yes, the mini 1 was small and compact, but calling it a true mini would’ve been an exaggeration. The mini 2 looks different.Nevertheless, Therabody has done what many customers demanded – including more heads. What’s more important is that the device doesn’t feel like an upsell to bigger devices anymore. It can finally be considered a standalone mini. You can buy it as a starter device, not just a complementary Theragun. The mini 1 wasn’t the quietest mini massage gun. Upon using the Mini 2, we personally felt it was a significant upgrade from its predecessor. They were judged on how easy they were to control, the impact they had on sore muscles, their ability to move across skin and muscle smoothly, and the effectiveness of any interchangeable massage heads included. The design (how ergonomic the handle was), portability and any other innovative features were also taken into consideration when deciding the final hierarchy. After spending time with the device, we give a thumbs up to Therabody for figuring out how to reduce the size and improve the sound quality.
