About this deal

This alcohol-free mocktail is a perfect summer drink made with a non-alcoholic Crodino bitter and served with mint and a slice of orange.

The name apparently comes from a Count in Piedmont who served this drink to attract young and fashionable guests to his home. To enjoy the classic Crodino Aperitivo, simply enjoy chilled Crodino over ice in a long-stemmed wine glass.It is a bit sweet but I put a squeeze of fresh orange juice and a big slice of orange (as crodino is normally served with orange) and it is definitely very drinkable. Crodino, a non-alcoholic aperitif and market leader since 1964, presents the new red and orange flavor. although we did ignore the Italian bartender in Carluccio’s in Glasgow who suggested that we drink it in the true Italian way with the bottle tipped up and left in the glass.

The “aperitivo” is that moment of the day when the sun sets, and you just need to chill out in some positive energy with your favorite people. Crodino’s intense flavour profile lends itself to drinking on the rocks, long with soda, as a spritz with alcohol-free fizz, or as a base for an alcohol-free or low strength cocktail. The unmistakable bittersweet taste of Crodino becomes more intense thanks to the fruity note of blood orange.
